Eligibility for Settlement Services

Settlement services are available for a range of newcomers including:

  • Permanent Residents
  • Children of PR holders who are Canadian citizens
  • Conventional Refugees
  • Protected Persons
  • Holders of work permit through Caregiver pathway
  • Other (please call office to check. Services based on funding)

How to Book an Appointment

  1. Call 416-532-2824 or email settlement@workingwomencc.org WWCC to reach the main office or a specific location.
  2. Provide necessary information: when you contact WWCC, provide details such as your name, preferred language, and the type of settlement assistance you need. This information will help the team match you with the appropriate counsellor and resources.
  3. A representative from WWCC will help schedule a convenient time for your appointment. Let them know if you prefer an in-person or virtual appointment, depending on availability.
  4. WWCC will confirm the appointment date, time, and location (or virtual meeting link if applicable). They may ask you to bring specific documents, such as identification, immigration paperwork, or any other relevant paperwork, to help with your session.

Settlement Services Schedule by Location

At Working Women Community Centre, we are dedicated to providing essential settlement services to immigrant women and their families. We offer settlement services at three convenient locations. We encourage you to call us to speak to our intake coordinator to book an appointment.

  • Gladstone

    Settlement services are available on Tuesdays to Thursdays from 9am to 5pm and Fridays from 9am to 4:30pm.
  • Fairview

    Settlement services are available on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 9am to 5pm, and Fridays from 9am to 4:30pm.
  • Victoria Park Hub

    Settlement services are available on Tuesdays to Thursdays from 9am to 5pm.

FAQs

  • Can I reschedule my meeting?

    Yes, if you need to reschedule, please call 41-532-2824 or email settlement@workingwomencc.org. We understand that plans can change and will do our best to accommodate your new schedule.

  • What if I need to cancel?

    If you need to cancel your meeting, please do so by calling 41-532-2824 or email settlement@workingwomencc.org at least 24 hours in advance. This allows us to offer the time slot to another client.

  • Who can I contact for help?

    Please call 41-532-2824 or email settlement@workingwomencc.org to connect to our intake specialist who will help identify services or community resources to help.

  • Are there any fees?

    No all of our services are free for you and your family.

  • How long are appointments?

    Appointments vary from 1 to 2 hours per person. WWCC staff will tell you estimated times based on your needs when you book your appointment.
