Civic engagement programs are key to building resilient, healthy and thriving communities. With this in mind, we offer newcomers and immigrants several opportunities for community involvement and to build on their own personal networks.

    Yes all services are free and funded by the Federal Government.

  • What are the work experience requirements to qualify for the Home Care Worker Immigration Pilot?

    Applicants must have at least 6 months of work experience as a home care worker, which could include roles like personal home support worker or home child care provider. Relevant training is also acceptable if it is mostly in-person and lasts for a minimum of 6 months.

  • Do I need a job offer to apply for the Home Care Worker Immigration Pilot?

    Yes, you need a valid job offer from a Canadian employer to apply for the program.

  • Do I need educational qualifications to apply for the Home Care Worker Immigration Pilot?

    While a university degree is not required, having diplomas or certifications in fields such as personal care, nursing, or as an Early Childhood Educator or assistant is highly beneficial.
